Statement on the Coronavirus outbreak
Darwin Festival is sensitive to what is currently happening around the world and send our love to all.
We remain committed to planning for a range of possible scenarios as a result of COVID-19 and are closely monitoring the evolving situation while taking guidance from the Australian Department of Health, NT Health and the Northern Territory Government. The safety and well-being of our audiences, artists and staff is our priority.
We are incredibly conscious of the stress that cancellations and ongoing uncertainty place on our artists, arts workers, suppliers and community stakeholders, and will do our best to remain in communication and to notify you as the situation evolves, though the reality is things are changing by the day. We want to give reassurance that Darwin Festival will do everything in its power to support those that help make our Festival come together.
The current situation is difficult for everyone involved and we want to encourage open communication. Now more than ever we need to work collectively with compassion and cooperation. So, let’s keep talking and doing our best to get through this together.
