Australia as you’ve never heard it before.
Robyn Archer — cabaret icon, legend of the Australian stage, feminist stalwart and provocateur — has thrilled audiences with her rich renditions of the great songbooks of Europe and America. Now, she turns her distinctive talents to songs that describe the difficult, wonderful place that is Australia. From convict lament to Bon Scott, Kate Miller-Heidke and First Nations songwriters, Robyn performs uproarious repertoire that is full of laughter, politics, tragedy and fun.
A trio of Australia’s finest stage musicians – piano accordion virtuoso George Butrumlis, actor and multi-instrumentalist Cameron Goodall on guitar and the very deft Enio Pozzebon on keyboards – join Robyn for this fearless, political and personal celebration of 150 years of Australian song.
After this show, you’ll hear our country through very different ears.
